The 2018 Tesla Model X 100D feels appropriately futuristic. The SUV 100D isn’t quite ludicrous but it’s plenty likable. There are many features and qualities that make the Model X interesting. Falcon wing doors, a never-ending windshield, and a simple interior with a single touch screen has the Model X standing out from the SUV crowd. The bright-white upholstery upgrade is softer than you’d think as Tesla only uses synthetic “vegan” leather. The 100D boasts an EPA-estimated 295 miles of range thanks to its potent, 100.0kWh battery pack, making it one of the longest-range electrified crossovers on the market. The 100D’s dual electric motors are each rated at 259 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque, delivering a mighty shove of their own. This Model X is also protected with XPEL front bumper paint protection film and for it’s cabin, XPEL Ceramic window and windshield tint, performed by LUXE Automotive in SLC, UT.
The Model X may have influenced the industry, but it remains a novel proposition among premium SUVs. Some of it’s novelties may be on the silly side but many are not. And the 100D version proves that you don’t need Ludicrous mode to feel as if you’ve entered the future.
